St. John’s University is committed to providing all eager students with academic advantages as early as possible. Fall 2022 application dates are noted below.
The College Advantage Program at St. John’s provides qualifying high school juniors and seniors with the opportunity to enroll concurrently in high school and credit-bearing St. John’s courses at a cost of $325 per course—a deep discount from regular undergraduate tuition rates.
Classes are taught at a student’s high school by St. John’s-approved teachers in areas of study that include English, fine arts, humanities, language, mathematics, science, and social sciences. The curriculum is approved concurrently with St. John’s faculty and the high school teacher.
Courses are offered for fall and spring terms. Participation in College Advantage does not guarantee acceptance to St. John’s University.

Classes are taught at your high school by approved teachers in areas of study that include English, mathematics, language, fine arts, science, social sciences, and humanities. This program benefits high-achieving students to be further motivated and to get a "head start" on college.
College Advantage students who enroll at St. John’s University the semester after high school graduation receive a $3,000 Tuition Grant per year. Participating students who are admitted and decide to enroll at St. John’s immediately after high school graduation become eligible for the College Advantage Program Grant, applicable for up to four years of full-time, continuous undergraduate study at St. John’s University. In addition, all completed College Advantage courses, including the grades received, will be part of the student’s academic record at St. John’s University and will be reflected on the student’s transcript and factored into the student’s cumulative GPA.
Please note that the applicability of credits toward the participating student's St. John’s degree will be dependent upon the student's chosen program of study at St. John’s.
There are currently more than 100 schools who participate in the St. John's University College Advantage Program. If your school is not currently a participant in the program, contact your school's main office and have them contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Juniors and seniors who attend one of the participating schools noted above should contact their high school’s College Advantage liaison to learn more. Registration for the Fall 2022 term is open August 24 through September 30, 2022 to qualifying juniors and seniors only.
Students who attend currently non-participating schools should reach out to their guidance counselor and request that he or she contact Margarita David (information noted below) to learn more about how the high school may become a participating school.
