Pharmacy Student Studying

CPHS Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs works collaboratively with faculty, students, and administrators within the College to create an environment that fosters learning and personal development. We strive to help students succeed, not only during their time as a student within the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, but also after graduation. A broad array of academic and student services, well-being programs, activities, and additional opportunities are offered to help our pharmacy, health sciences, and/or graduate students stay informed, get involved, and network.  Supporting student development is achieved through networking opportunities and transformative learning experiences offered via co-curricular programming, the CPHS Alumni Mentoring Program, the Alumni Insider’s View, and career development programming.

The Andrew J. Bartilucci Undergraduate Research Scholarship was established through the generosity of Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci, whose roles at St. John’s included, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions, Executive Vice President to the University, and Special Assistant to the President. Dr. Bartilucci's career at St. John's began as a student in 1940. Upon graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He returned to receive his master's degree from Rutgers University and his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland. His tenure as a faculty member and Dean at St. John’s University spanned more than 34 years. In his profession, Dr. Bartilucci has also served as a member of the New York State Board of Pharmacy, the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and a variety of other organizations. His dedication to St. John’s University, particularly to the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and to scholarship through research, served as important motivators in establishing this scholarship.
