Overview

Managers are in high demand, especially those with a sound business education and training. Job opportunities for managers are expected to grow throughout the coming decade according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. A Bachelor of Science degree in Management from The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's prepares students for careers in either general management or specializations such as consulting, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources, international business, and supply chain management.

The Peter J. Tobin College has earned the top business accreditation from  AACSB International — the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business signaling the quality of a Tobin business education.  Fewer than 20 percent of collegiate business schools in the U.S. and Canada have attained this accreditation.

Application Requirements
All applicants must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or the international equivalent prior to enrollment at the graduate level.

In addition to the application form and non-refundable application fee candidates should submit the following:

  • Statement of professional goals and resume which can be uploaded as part of the  application for admission
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate, graduate and professional schools attended. 
  • Official GMAT or GRE scores, taken within the last five years
  • Two letters of recommendation, obtained from professional or academic references
  • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for applicants whose native language is not English

Students can serve those in need while learning about the world of micro-financing by participating in GLOBE. This student-managed academic program works with the University's strategic partners to provide loans for aspiring entrepreneurs who would otherwise be unable to secure loans.

Students can live and learn at St. John's Rome, Italy, campus and Paris, France, location.

Along with outstanding courses and renowned professors, management students in The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's benefit from world-class academic and technological resources.

For example, the Business Analytics Lab boasts state-of-the-art learning tools including 40 computer workstations.  Every computer is equipped with the latest FactSet financial software and 18 computers are also Bloomberg terminals.  These state-of-the-art software tools and databases provide access to news, financial markets information, financial statement data, and worldwide economics indicators to enrich every student’s understanding of the business world.  Students have access to the latest financial news and information with DirecTV Channels including Bloomberg, CNBC, Fox Business News, and the other cable news channels. 

The Tobin College of Business features innovative programs such as the Executive-in-Residence Program (EIRP), which draws on the University’s extensive alumni network to provide both undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to engage in practical business consulting with real-world business and non-profit organizations.

The Undergraduate Student-Managed Investment Fund is a highly selective program that gives students hands-on experience with managing a substantial portfolio.
