Committee Goals

  1. Establish the unique St. John’s Journey for each student, focused on providing value-based services to enable their success and create a lifelong connection back to the University
  2. Define and create an expected and consistent classroom experience from the student perspective.
  3. Broaden relationships with the external community and extend the student experience outside the gates of St. John’s campus (the “Union/Utopia” experience).
  4. Expand and enhance the co/extra-curricular experience at the University with quality, high impact activities to foster engagement and broaden exposure to more students through the creation of programs and organizations for the diverse student body at St. John's.
  5. Ensure we reach students in the most appropriate manner by improving and streamlining student communications.

The Student Experience is the overall engagement of students throughout their college career, starting at the application process through graduation and becoming a member of the alumni community. It encompasses many aspects of student life, from academic and intellectual to social and emotional. The Student Experience focuses on the unique and lasting relationship the student has with the University. The focus may differ for each student, but the entire experience should be consistent, accessible, and ubiquitously available. This experience is an engaging one and will provide the student with the ability navigate their pathway to success at St. John’s.
